SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
• Use utmost care when remvoing and installing the oil pump to keep dust and dirt from entering the engine.
e
Do not attempt to disassemble the oil pump.
e Bleed air from the oil pump if there is air in the oil pipe from the oil tank to the oil pump or if the oil pipe has been dis­
connected.
e
Bleed air from the oil pass tube (from the oil pump to the inlet pipe) if the tube has been disconnected.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Excessive smoke/excessive carbon buildup in plug
1. Pump not properly synchronized (excessive oil)
Sized or burnt piston
1. No oil in tank or clogged oil pipe
