Press and release the Talk button.
After the beep, say ‘‘Security.’’ The
HFT system response is ‘‘Security
options are lock, unlock, and set
password.’’
If you forget your password and you
cannot activate the HFT system,
consult your dealer to cancel the
password.
Your Bluetooth compatible phone
with HandsFree Profile must be
paired to the HFT system before you
can make and receive hands-free
calls.
Press and release the Talk button.
After the beep, say ‘‘Lock’’ or
‘‘unlock.’’ Lock means the HFT
system will prompt you for your
password each time the ignition
switch is turned to the ON (II)
position and you press the Talk
button. You will only be asked for
the password once per ignition
cycle. If the HFT system is locked,
its response is ‘‘System is locked.
Each time the car is turned on, the
password will be required to use
the system.’’ If the HFT system is
unlocked, its response is ‘‘System
is unlocked. Returning to the main
menu.’’
HFT system does not allow you to
pair your phone if the car is
moving.
For pairing, your phone must be in
its Discovery mode.
Up to six phones can be paired to
the HFT system.
The following procedure works for
most phones. If you cannot pair
your phone to the HFT system
with this procedure, refer to your
phone’s operating manual, talk to
your phone retailer, or contact the
Hands-Free Telephone System
customer support.
During the pairing process, turn
off any previously paired phones
before pairing a new phone.
