If this procedure is performed
during normal driving, the indicator
will be turned off.
To turn off the indicator, restart
and turn off the engine at least
three times at intervals of
approximately 30 seconds.
Start the engine (see page
). If
the engine does not start right
away, do not hold the ignition key
in START (III) for more than 10
seconds at a time. This will
damage the fuel pump and the
engine starter.
If the engine fails to start, return
to step 3.
After the engine restarts, press
the accelerator pedal slightly and
hold it at approximately 1,500 rpm
for about 30 seconds. This will
complete the air bleeding in the
fuel system.
The engine runs normally, but the
malfunction indicator lamp or the
glow plugs indicator remains lit.
If you are not sure how to bleed the
air, contact your dealer.
If the engine fails to restart after
priming the fuel system, there is a
problem in the fuel system. You
should have the car inspected by
your dealer.
