REPLACEMENT OF FAN UNITS
5.3.1 GS4000-80E1, GS4000-80E2, GS4000-160E1, and GS4000-160E2
The replacement of a fan unit for GS4000-80E1, GS4000-80E2, GS4000-160E1, and GS4000

160E2 is done in the same way. You can replace a fan unit without powering off the device.
WARNING: THE REPLACEMENT OF A FAN UNIT SHOULD BE DONE BY A TRAINED
ENGINEER OR A QUALIFIED MAINTENANCE PERSON.

Caution: When replacing a fan unit while powered on, it must be done within one
minute after being detached. If replacement takes more than one minute, the
temperature inside the device will start to rise and could affect other
components.
(1) Detachment of a Fan Unit
Comply with the following procedure when removing a Fan Unit.
Step 1
Loosen the screws of a front panel attached to the fan unit targeted for replacement,
and remove this front panel from the fan unit.
