• The tester increases the test voltage
gradually and monitors the resultant insu-
lation resistance and leakage current.
• If the insulation resistance decreases as
the test voltage increases, the object
under test is damp or unclean and
requires attention.

• The test voltage is increased in 5 steps at
regular intervals during insulation resis-
tance measurement. The resistance mea-
surement and the current measurement
are acquired once at the end of every
step.
• The test voltage is applied in one of the
two orders below.

STEP5.00 kV: 1 kV

• The voltage is increased when one
minute has passed at each voltage step.
