Enter a unique
“Name”
( Fig. 40/7) for the counting line. This is
used in the user interface as well as in data files.

Specify the delay in both directions ( Fig. 40/8 and Fig. 40/10)
to handle re-passing and U-turns. Choose a time from the drop
down list.

No delay
Counts every time a person crosses the counting line,
without suppressing U-turns (immediate result after
crossing the counting line).

Time Period (e.g. 10 sec)
Count if the person stays longer than the time period within
the floor area and without a U-turn in this time. (result
delayed until person leaves floor area before end of time
period or until time period is over).

Infinity
Count only once if no U-turn is made (count result delayed
until person leaves the floor area).

“Two-Arrow”
button ( Fig. 40/3) to swap the 'in' and
'out' directions. The triangular marker indicates the direction of
incoming persons.

Tick the trigger checkbox to use programmable input

for counting ( Fig. 40/12). Typical use is for counting to
occur only when door is open i.e when input is triggered.

6.6 Data Recording
The device can record counting data and video data. Recording
video data is a licensed option.
The device can store video files locally. This function includes
count and tracking data. These video files can be downloaded via
the user interface or uploaded automatically to an ftp/sftp server
after recording.
Recording can be manually started in the user interface or auto-
mated using a trigger signal ( Fig. 42/3). Recording can be
restricted for a time period ( Fig. 42/8). During this time period the
input trigger starts/stops the recording.
For each trigger period a separate video file is stored.
