f In case the control module does not respond after trying all OBD 2
standard protocols, Multiscan shows the failure report and check points
as below:
2. When to se lect
You m ay select this General OBD2 when you are sure that the test vehi cle is
OBD2 com pliant but not included in the vehi cle coverage list.
3. EOBD
a Even though Multiscan does not i nclude many European cars in its
coverage as of May, 2003, i t is frequently reported that General OBD2 of
Mul tiscan works well wi th EOBD vehicles.
b In Europe, EOBD has become m andatory from January 1, 2001, and all
the cars buil t in Europe since then on m ust have been generi c OBD 2
com pliant.
c You m ay sel ect General OBD2 of Multiscan for the diagnosis of these
brand new European cars for the powertrain system.
