D. SRS airbag diagnosis
It is said that the manufacturer has designed the system without scanner
comm unication for safety reasons. You are recomm ended to check the troubl e
codes m anuall y referring to the following inform ation. It is also recom mended
NOT to test SRS system when using diagnostic equipment for the other system s
such as Engine and Transm ission.
1. Selecting SRS
a When you sel ect [4. Ai rbag] from the system selecti on menu, Multiscan
will show a message as shown below:
P lease note that Ai rbag D TC descriptions that Multiscan provi des on
screen are extracted from a few fam ous models of Subaru, roughl y
i dentified by m odel years. However, the DTC definitions and
descriptions m ay differ according to the regional and vehicle detail
vari ations.
Therefore, Ai rbag DTC i nform ation of Multiscan does not cover all
S ubaru cars and may be incorrect.
It is al ways highl y recommended to refer to factory m anuals for correct
and detailed i nformation.
