History
In addition to Usage Reports described previously, the Illuminator also logs “raw data”. This
data includes all activity including:
1. Input changes
2. Control output changes
3. Alarm activation and resets
4. SMS transmissions and their outcomes
5. SMS command reception
6. Keypad activity
7. System messages (powerups, remote access etc.)
Each log record consists of a date and time stamp to a resolution of 1 second, numeric event
identifier and a short text describing the event. You can selectively download logged data.
Logged data is downloaded by first clicking “History” on the blue menu pane on the left.
Next, specify the period of interest and the number of records to download by filling in the
form.
Data is downloaded “backwards” in time. In other words, the most recent records are
downloaded first. In order to minimise the amount of data being transferred, you can specify
the date and the time of the first record and the maximum number of records to download.
The data is given in an efficient but somewhat cryptic format. You will need to use the decode
table given in “Appendix E: Logged Data Format” to interpret each record.
The “raw data” is primarily used for monitoring and recording the system performance. It may
be used to examine past events and clarify operational difficulties that may occur.
Click “Get History” button to start the download.
Data is downloaded as a “CSV” file. Download can automatically start Microsoft Excel
program on your computer (if installed) to show, edit or store the data.
