Setting up Network Parameters
Illuminators can connect to local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
LAN connections are primarily used for communications with local computers – typically for
initial setup.
The Illuminator uses WAN connections to access the Internet in order to send e-mails reports
and for communications with remote computers.
Network settings
Please refer to Appendix A for more information about initial connection of an Illuminator to a
Local Area Network (LAN).
To set up Network parameters, access the “Change Setup” page as described in “Setting up
an Illuminator for the first time” earlier in this section.
Click on “Network”.
Fill in the form with details appropriate for your network.
NOTE: In most cases you do not need to change any of the factory settings.
Easy Connect settings:
Select “ENABLED” for stand-alone Illuminators (Illuminators not connected to a local
area network (LAN)
The “DISABLED” setting is not normally used.
NOTE: New settings will take effect after the device is powered down and then powered
up.
