Direct Connection
The measurement data from the Lensmeter and Auto Refractor directly populates the LM and AR data
fields in the Controller display. The data transfer takes place when the user presses the data output but-
tons on each pre-test device.
Imported Data List
To use the imported data list, the Store box in the Port Settings for Instrument 1 and/or Instrument 2
must be checked. Incoming Lensmeter and Auto Refractor data will be saved in the Imported Data List,
and can be pulled into the AR and LM fields and be used as the starting point of a refraction. The data
for a specific patient is identified by a time stamp. Some pre-test devices may also indicate an ID Num-
ber. This number is generated by the Lensmeter or Auto Refractor when the user selects the numbering
option in the Settings for the specific device.
1. Press the
IN
button to access the Imported Data List. A screen with two columns will appear, one for
Autorefractor data, one for Lensmeter data. Refer to Figure PE-04.
2. Tap the data to import from the two lists.

to bring the selected data set(s) to the
main screen.
b. Tap
Cancel
or press the
C
button to exit without importing data.
