Remote control of other GRUNDIG
video recorders
These remote controls can be used to operate
various GRUNDIG video recorders independently of
one another.
You can use them with your GV 740 and a second
video recorder from series VS 600 to VS 900 and
from series GV 200 onwards.
To ensure that the recorders correctly evaluate the
remote control commands, the remote controls
send the commands on two different levels. For this
the GV 740 must be switched over to VCR
address 2.

Setting the GV 740’s VCR address
Use the buttons on the RP 500 Convenience
Remote Control for this function.
Press the

button and the numbered buttons

one after the other.
– The »VCR address« appears.
Select VCR address 2 with the
F E
buttons.
Confirm setting with

button.
– The recorder deactivates the table.

Using the RP 500 Convenience Remote
Control for remote control of both recorders

If the VIDEO 1 2 switch is not at the correct VCR
address during GV 740 operation, the »

Using the RP 7 Compact Remote Control
for remote control of both recorders
Here, VCR address selection is made by means of a
button combination.
VCR address 1 is the remote control’s basic setting.
Select VCR address 2 by simultaneously pressing
the

buttons and then pressing

button within 5 seconds.
Select VCR address 1 by simultaneously pressing
