Operating modes
The recorder is off (standby mode).
The PAY-TV decoder switches automatically to the
TV.
The recorder is in EE mode or record, but is not
receiving a PAY-TV station.
In this case, the decoder switches automatically to
the TV.
Recording a PAY-TV broadcast
with simultaneous monitoring on the TV set
(e.g. programme position 4 or AV).
For this purpose you must be able to select » AV «
on any programme position at the TV (e.g.l
GRUNDIG TV sets).
Select ».AV.« on programme position 4 or
programme position AV on your TV set.
Recording a PAY-TV broadcast
while watching another » normal « broadcast on
the TV set.
If your TV set cannot be switched to the “normal” in
this situation, please proceed as follows:
Press the

CODE
button, the numbered buttons
8 5 1 4
and the
G
button one after the
other.
If you wish to deactivate this function again, press
the
›
CODE
button, the numbered buttons
8 5 1 3
and the
G
one after the other on
the remote control.

If the recorder receives coded TV programmes
from private stations, a decoder is necessary.
Ask your dealer about decoders.

Connection
Connect the 2 EXTERNAL/DEC.-AV 2 socket on the
recorder and the relevant socket on the decoder
using an EURO-AV cable.

Pay attention to the setting for the programme
position at which the TV station of the decoder is
stored.

Setting a programme position for a
decoder
Press the
h
button followed by the numbered
buttons

– The » TV Station Table « appears.
Select a programme position for the TV station of
the PAY-TV decoder using the
DC
buttons. Then
press the
G
button.
– The » Programme « table appears.
Select the » Decoder « data line using the
DC
buttons.
Activate the decoder. To do this press the
F
button.
– The display changes from » OFF « to » ON «.
Store the setting using the
G
button.
