Programming with the ShowView
system, variant 1
All you have to do is activate the ShowView system
by pressing a button, enter the ShowView number
code – indicated in the TV magazine – and confirm
the entry.

When using the VCR with ShowView programming
for the first time you will need to “teach” the VCR
which programme position the TV station is on.
How to do this is described in the chapter “Setting a
programme position for the ShowView System” on
the next page.

Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the AV programme position for the video
recorder on the TV set.
If the recorder is connected to a TV set with Mega-
logic functions, the TV set switches itself on when
the

SV/V+
is pressed and the AV programme
position is displayed automatically.
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time, pay
attention to erase prevention.

The time and date at the recorder must be correct.

Example
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Use the

SV/V+
button to start programming.
– The data is indicated on the TV screen and on the
display on the recorder.
Only the on screen display is described in the
example.
Use the numbered buttons

ShowView number of the desired TV programme.
If incorrect entries are made, the

CLEAR
button
can be used to delete the last digit of the ShowView
number.
The complete ShowView number can be deleted
using the

SV/V+
button.
Confirm the ShowView number using the

button.
– The recorder converts the ShowView number into
the actual recording data.
Confirm programming using the
G
button.
– The data of the programme is stored at the first
memory position (TIMER). The remaining playing
time is indicated briefly.

The recorder is in record standby mode. All drive
mechanism functions of the recorder are now
“blocked”.
– Display on recorder: » TIMER «.
– The red display on the recorder lights up.
