Selecting the language for the
user guide
It is possible to alter the language of the user guide.
This alteration does not effect the setting of the TV
stations with the ATS euro plus search function.
Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the programme position for the video
recorder on the TV set (AV programme position).
Operation
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Press the
h
button followed by the numbered
buttons

– The » Selection language « table appears.
– The selected language is marked in colour.
Select the desired language using the
DC F E
buttons and confirm it using the
G
button.
– The recorder switches to the TV picture. From
now on all info tables and dialogue lines appear in
the selected language.
Operation with a 16:9 format TV set
The input sockets of the recorder must be adapted
for this purpose.
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Press the
h
button followed by the numbered
buttons

– The »16 x 9 Automatic« table appears.
Switch the automatic function on or off using the
F
or
E
button.
Store the function using the

button.
– The recorder deactivates the table.

Checking and setting the time
and date
If the recorder is disconnected from the mains
supply, the digital clock continues to run for
approx. 7 hours.
The time is not visible in the display.

Automatic updating
Switch off the recorder using the
›
Ǽ
button
The recorder now automatically updates the time.
The precondition is that a television station which
has teletext or PDC is set on programme position 1.
The recorder regularly repeats this update. This
also means that the recorder will recognise the
change from summer to winter time.

Manual setting
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the AV programme position for the video
recorder on the TV set (acts as test monitor).
Operation
Use the buttons on the remote control for this
function.
