Front Panel Operation
Publication 31231, Rev. J, October 2003
2-31
The ‘Slope Start Frequency’ field sets the point at which slope correction begins. The output power
then changes at a rate set by the slope variable. The ‘Power Level’ field is for convenience in setting the
global power level variable. Note the letters ‘SLP’, these appear in the any menu having a Level field to
indicate that Power Slope is enabled.
The lower part of the screen allows selectively applying Power Slope to different modes of instrument
operation.
2.3.10.7
Offset
Turning on this feature will change the output power by the amount specified in the ‘Offset Power’ field.
The displayed power level in the various menus does not change, however the letters ‘OFS’ will appear
next to the level value to indicate the offset is active. The offset can be as large as the full range of the
instrument power, including the step attenuator.
2.3.10.8
Level Correction
CURRENTLY NOT SUPPORTED.
NOTE:
The Step Attenuator is effectively in manual mode when power slope is on and
will not change dynamically!
