Using Pulse Modulation
The Pulse Modulation function allows controlling the instrument RF output with a high speed high on/off ratio
level shift (on/off keying). During pulse operation, the RF output will be attenuated from the set level by at
least 80 dB when the pulse is ‘off’.
Polarity
This parameter determines which polarity of the input signal produces an RF output. Setting the parameter to
‘Active High’ means that the RF will be on when the input signal is a TTL high.
Enabling FM
There is a softkey to allow turning PM on and off. When PM is off, the key label will read “Turn PM On”.
When PM is on, the key will read “Turn PM Off”. The LED next to the front panel PM button will illuminate when
PM is on.
