Individual Point Execution Speed Up (Fast Option)
While executing a list part of the operation of the CPU is dedicated to updating the display. There are
options available to set the display certain ways such as blanking it or freezing it to relieve the CPU of
this burden. This will increase point-to-point switching speed by about 10%.
Pressing the Fast Option softkey while as list is executing activates the display mode that freezes the
screen. This is similar to sending a GPIB or serial command ’DU 8’. In this display mode no display
updates are performed, a message appears at the bottom, “Fast Option is on. Press LOCAL to exit”, and
the remote LED turns on. To exit this mode press the [
REMOTE
] key.
