Test safety components
Before each use or every 10 hours, whichever comes first
10.4.1 Lights
● Check the functionality of the left and right signal light.
● Check the functionality of the brakes, confirm the brake lights work properly.
10.4.2 Air brake system
Attention!
Set the Wabco valve according to the actual load inside the tank before
testing the air brake system. Refer to section Operating - Moving the
spreader - Adjusting Wabco valve.
Test the service brakes:
● Apply and release the tractor brake pedal a few times before moving the
spreader.
● Move the spreader to a wide and safe area. Apply the service brakes a few
times to ensure that the brakes can stop the spreader properly.
Test the emergency brakes:
● Activate the tractor parking brake. Try to move the spreader by pressing on
the gas pedal. The emergency brakes must keep the spreader immobilized.
