gets dark. There is no way to continue the oven program at the latest point of
operation.
CHECKING THE CONSISTENCY OF YOUR FOOD DURING OPERATION
During the cooking process, you might wish to check the consistency of your food.
For this, activate the pause function first for switching off the heating elements, while
the oven door is open (see: ‘Properties of Your Design Bistro Oven Bake & Grill /
Pause-Function’ and ‘Interrupting or Cancelling the Cooking Process’).
Tip:
If you decide that your food will not reach the desired consistency, with the
pause function active, you can change the settings accordingly. For example, use
this function to activate the convection fan and/or select a somewhat higher tem-
perature just some minutes before taking out your food for getting a crispy crust
(see below: ‘Modifying the Settings after Starting the Oven’).
Important:
Do not forget to continue the oven program by pressing the START/
PAUSE button after closing the oven door.
MODIFYING THE SETTINGS AFTER STARTING THE OVEN
You may change the settings of the oven even after starting the program.
1. Approx. 20 seconds after starting the oven, the arrow on the display area stops
flashing and the key area will be locked. In this case, the oven will not respond
to any short touch of the buttons and you must unlock the key area, before
making any settings. For this, simply hold the ON/OFF button pressed until a
beep sounds (approx. 2 seconds). The arrow on the display area flashes again.
Note
Unlocking the key area will not interrupt the oven program.
2. With the key area unlocked (the arrow is flashing), you can switch the convection
fan and oven lamp on and off by simply pressing the fan button or light button.
3. If you wish to modify the current settings for the cooking time and temperature, you
must interrupt the oven program first. Press the START/PAUSE button. The pause icon
appears on the display area (see: ‘Properties of Your Design Bistro Oven Bake &
Grill / Pause Function’). Thereafter the buttons of the key area are available.
4. Make your settings (see: ‘Controlling the Oven Manually’).
5. After making your entries, press the START/PAUSE button within 2 minutes to
