CLOSING THE FRAME (TRANSPORT POSITION)
With the machine completely raised (pos. 5/c on the control unit,
activate the tractor’s hydraulic distributor to fully lower the rear
carriage of the sowing machine):
- Place switch (5) to positions (a) / (b), open the valves indicated
in Fig. 19 and activate the tractor’s hydraulic distributor to fully
close the side frames. Having closed the frames, position switch
(5) in (c) to place the rear carriage in position for any required
manoeuvres.
- Switch on the parking brake, switch off the tractor and remove
the key from the dashboard.
- Lock the side toolbars with the locking bar (1, Fig. 14) locking it
with the safety devices provided (A, Fig. 14).
4.4.4 FLOATING FRAME
A
fl
oating system for the frame has been incorporated in the seed
drill. This system facilitates even planting of the seedbed, despite
its irregularity. A nitrogen accumulator is supplied with the “
fl
oating
frame system” (Fig. 20), to ensure that the side wings maintain a
constant position during seeding.
Have the accumulator pre-loading pressure checked annually
by a quali
fi
ed technician (25÷30 bar).
4.4.5 SETTINGS FOR ROAD TRANSPORT
When driving on public roads, be sure to follow the highway
code of the country involved.
The tractor used for transporting the equipment must have the
powers shown in the
Technical Data
table.
For displacements beyond the work area, the equipment must be
placed in the transportation position:
- Where provided for, make all the moving parts come within the
transport width, locking them with the safety devices (toolbars,
rear carriage access ladder, row marker discs, etc.).
- Road movements must be performed with all tanks empty.
- Any transport accessories must be provided with suitable signs
and guards.
TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT
- Close the side frame following the instructions given in chapter
4.4.3, and close the system valve (B, Fig, 16).
- Maintain the rear carriage in the transport position (fully lowe-
red).
- Close the hydraulic circuit valve.
- Fold the rear carriage access ladders up and lock into position
using the break pin.
- Position switch (6) in position (d) to switch on the
fl
ashing yellow
light (Fig. 21).
