4) To change the altitude buffer, turn the large
right
knob to highlight the ‘Altitude Buffers’
field (Figure 8-32). Use the small and large
right
knobs to enter the desired buffer
distance. Press the

NOTE: When an approach has been loaded into
the active flight plan, airspace alert messages
are disabled within 30nm of the destination
airport.
Setup Page: CDI Scale/Alarms
Changing the maximum CDI scale:
1) Select ‘CDI/Alarms’ from the Setup Page, using
the steps described at the beginning of this
section.
2) The flashing cursor highlights the ‘Selected CDI’
field (Figure 8-33). Turn the small
right
knob
to select the desired CDI scale. The selected
scale and any lower scale settings are used
during the various phases of flight as described
at the beginning of this section.

3) Press the
ENT
Key to accept the selected
scale. The ‘System CDI’ field displays the CDI
scale currently in use. The ‘System CDI’ setting
may differ from the ‘Selected CDI’ depending
upon the current phase of flight (as described
previously in this section).
