Active High and Active Low Signal
In the system, digital signals are specified as either Active High
or Active Low
. An Active
High signals means the function that is assigned to the pin will be active if there is a positive voltage on the
input. An Active Low signals means the function that is assigned to the pin will be active if there is a low
voltage on the input. For example, with the
Remote Halt
signal shown above configured as active low,
Remote Halt
will be on when there is zero volts on input number 5 and will be off when there is 24VDC on
input number 5.

function.
