Make further adjustments to the cam to engage the correct pin on the back of the
hanger. Move the conveyance back up if you have to. Once you are satisfied that the
cam is in the right place, bring the conveyance down into the landing. It will stop close to
the center point of the cam. Do not anticipate the lift stop position. Hold the direction
button until the lift stops itself. It is now in the desired loading position. If the lift bottoms
on the floor, move the cam up until the lift stops on the cam without hitting the floor. This
is critical for proper landing positions.
Caution:
Watch the conveyance as it reaches the lower landing. Do not
allow it to bottom out on the floor.
The Conveyance will stop at the center of the interlock cam. This should be at the point
where, the platform sensing plate is just slightly pressing on the floor. Move the cam up if
necessary. The final adjustments can be made later without having to reset the landings,
as long as you do not move the cams by more than 30 mm.
Repeat this step by running off the cam and back onto it a second time to finally set the
lower landing position. At this point, the lower landing position is established. The arm(s)
will raise and the ramp(s) will lower after you release the direction control confirming that
you have set the landing properly. If this does not occur, run the conveyance off the cam
and back on for a third time and observe the arm(s) and Ramp(s). If the landing cannot
be set, go to the
Trouble-shooting
section of this manual under “CONVEYANCE
INDICATORS “ and “LANDING SW” light. Once the lower landing is set, the
approximate
locations of all other landings, and all speed change positions, are also set. Their
final
position must be established in the following steps. If a lower storage position option has
been supplied with your lift, it is
not
necessary to run the lift down to set that position.
This is also true of upper landing storage options. Both of these positions will set
automatically once all other landing positions have been set.
Remember, while establishing the lower landing position:
*
Do not anticipate the stop position, the lift must stop by itself.
* Do not bottom lift out on lower landing. (Bring cam up if necessary).
* Conveyance will stop in the approximate center of the cam.
*
Up direction button on conveyance will be lit and the Arm and ramp will open when the
lower landing is established and you release the direction control.
Assigning the Call Station:
Go to the lower Station. All four lights on the Station will be flashing at this point. Assign
the station to the bottom landing by pressing any button once while the conveyance is
still in the lower landing. You will hear it beep then it will change its flashing mode.
