rope to go into the tube until there is approximately 1.5 meters of the lower rope
protruding out of the lower tube.
After putting in the ropes, remove the Drive cog cover from the Drive assembly. Use an
8mm X 20mm (or longer) screw and thread it into the hole in the center of the cover after
removing the plastic plug. Use this screw to force the cover off the Drive assembly. This
prevents damage to the paint by prying the cover off. Remove the cover.
Once the cover is removed, insert the two M8 X 75mm socket head screws into the
welded brackets ready to attach the Drive. Secure the Drive onto the upper end of the
tubes as shown in the layout drawings supplied with the lift. If you wish to change the
mounting of the Drive to the tubes, you must check it for fit first. Make sure you know
where the mounting holes are.

Compact
Drive shown before wiring
is completed. Covers are
in place over the Drive
cog.
The first fasteners are
arrowed.
Figure 19.
Removing the
cog cover using
an M10 screw.
This eliminates
the need to pry
the cover off.
