Connect the splice in the rope between the Drive Cabinet and the upper end of the
tubes. Using a screwdriver, push the C-ring into place. The diagram below shows the
splice connection inside the tube.
After making the rope splice connection, slide the remaining rope into the tubes while
moving the Drive Cabinet back into position.
Fasten the tube end plate to the Drive Cabinet and connect the tube grounding wire to
the spade connection in the Drive Cabinet.
Anchor the Drive Cabinet in place and install the tube to drive mounting fasteners.
At the bottom of the system, pull the upper rope down as far as it will go and install the
sliding contact into the tube below the upper rope lever.
Feed the lower rope through the Arrestor and attach the lower rope lever, as shown in
Figure 16 on page 16. Pull the lower rope up into the upper tube.
The sliding contact will then be positioned between rope levers, as shown in the
following diagram.
