If your lift has been supplied with a Platform Lock, you will se a small hole in the sensing
Plate. Use a 2 mm Allen wrench to open the lock before unfolding the platform as shown
below.
Note that the Artira Platform cannot be manually lowered if it is electrically
folded up unless the following procedure is used.
To unfold an electrically folded platform on the Artira without power, you must disengage
the platform fold mechanism from the platform hinge on the left rear of the platform.
Earlier models used a “keeper” on a keyway while later models use a single bolt that
runs through the hinge and the fold shaft.
In the former case, mark the position of the keeper and remove the two socket head
screws that secure it to the left-hand hinge of the platform and to the keyed axle. These
screws, if removed, allow you detach the keeper so that the platform can be lowered. It is
important to remember this for trouble-shooting.
In the case of the latter design, simply remove the bolt to unfold the platform.
Use care not to drop the Platform.
Once you have unwrapped the platform, manually unfold it and the release mechanism
will engage. Remove the front covers on the Hanger. You can now proceed with finishing
the conveyance installation.
The two ramp linkages are disconnected to prevent damage during shipping. Reconnect
them on the in-board side of the connection plate on the back of the ramps. The Linkage
must allow full rotation in all directions once it is tightened.
Insert the Allen wrench…..
…and move to the right to release the
platform lock.
