Calibrations
The calibration is a “two point calibration”. The
two points are 0.0 mS/cm (RO-water) and
14.0 mS/cm (with concentrate).
NOTE!
Make sure the +500ml/min restrictor is mounted
before calibration.
NOTE!
• Before conductivity calibration, Chemical
cleaning must be performed, one with Citric acid
and one with Hypochlorite.
1.
Enter the
Service
menu,
Calib, Transd
and select
Intern
.
Set the display at the conductivity trans-
ducer to be calibrated.
The possible cond. cell calibrations are:
• CONDUCTIVITY A TRANSDUCER
• CONDUCTIVITY B TRANSDUCER
• CONDUCTIVITY P TRANSDUCER
• CONDUCTIVITY ABP TRANSDUCERS
2.
Connect the Gambro reference instrument
to the dialyzer connectors.
Connect both the A- and B-pickup tubes to
the MM 95.
Set the temperature to 37,5°C (by pressing
TEMP key) and let the AK 95 S and the refer-
ence instrument stabilize for at least 30 min-
utes.
Make sure that the machine is not in bypass, i.e.
the fluid bypass button is not lit.
There must
be flow through the measuring cell.
3.
Press
to enter the calibration routine.
4.
Wait until the reading on the reference
instrument has stabilized at 0.0 mS/cm.
Set REF SET to 00.0 with Set knob.
Press “TEMP” and check that the tem-
perature is 37,5°C.
Press
to get back the conductivity
calibration display.
Press
to enter the value.
Conductivity Transducer calibration
5.
Place A-pickup tube in the concentrate
container. The AK 95 S will now regulate
conductivity to approx. 14 mS/cm. The
green fluid path must be lit.
6.
Let the conductivity stabilize for 20 min-
utes. (green fluid path)
Press “TEMP” to check that temperature
is 37,5°C.
Press
to get back the conductivity
calibration display.
7.
Set the “REF. SET” value on the AK 95 S
display to the same value shown on the
reference instrument.
8.
Press
to enter the value.
9.
The machine will now ask you to confirm
to enter sensitivity calibration.
Press
to confirm.
To exit: press
(will stop calibration).
10.
Press
START
UF
STOP
to load the calibration values
into the EEPROM.
All the transducers A, B and P are all calibrated
in this way.
