Connecting the control knob to the
connection cables
1.
Connect the control knob to the enclosed connec-
tion cable.

The two connectors on the control knob are
identical.
2.
Ensure that the plug engages in the socket.
3.
After installation, check that all of the plug connec-
tions are seated correctly.
4.
To secure the connection cable after installation,
bend the lugs on the retaining plate.

Installing the appliance
1.
Ensure that the connection cable for the control
knob engages in the socket on the underside of
the appliance.
→
2.
Keeping the appliance level, insert it into the unit
cut-out.
→
3.
Using both hands, push the appliance into the unit
cut-out from above.
4.
Ensure that the appliance is firmly positioned in
the unit cut-out and does not move.
5.
If necessary, if the width of the cut-out is at the up-
per tolerance limit, secure a bar at the sides of the
cut-out in each case.
6.
Connect the appliance to the power supply.
7.
Connect the appliance to the gas connection.
Checking the functionality
1.
Turn the control knob to 1.
If the appliance is turned off, air may be present in
the gas line.
2.
Turn the control knob to 0 and then back to 1.

Repeat the process until the appliance ignites.
Sealing the joints
For flush installation, seal the joints with silicone.
Requirements
¡
You must carry out a function test before sealing
any joints.
¡
Before applying the sealant, check that the entire
appliance fits precisely and that it is lying flat.
1.
Seal all around the gap using suitable, heat-resist-
ant silicone, e.g. Ottoseal® S70.

Using unsuitable silicone adhesive on natural
stone work surfaces may cause permanent discol-
ouration.
2.
Use the smoothing agent recommended by the
manufacturer to smooth the joint.
3.
Observe the usage instructions for the silicone ad-
hesive.
4.
Leave the silicone adhesive to dry for at least 24
hours.
The drying time depends on the ambient temper-
ature.
5.
Do not operate the appliance until the silicone has
dried completely.

Removing the appliance

Do not prise out the appliance from above.
1.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2.
Close the main gas tap.
3.
Push out the appliance from below.

Changing the gas type
WARNING ‒ Risk of explosion!
Escaping gas may cause an explosion.

Never remove the gas valve shaft.
▶
In the event of damage or an unusual gas conver-
sion, replace the entire gas valve. In this case, call
customer service.
Requirement:
The appliance must only be converted
to a different type of gas by a licensed expert.
1.
Switch off the power supply and the gas supply.
2.
The appliance can be converted to another type of
gas listed on the rating plate using a conversion
kit.
Some models come delivered with a conversion
kit.
The conversion kit is available from customer ser-
vice.
3.
Replace the main control nozzles.
4.
Use the control knob to set the gas type.

Removing appliance components
1.
Remove the pan supports and all burner parts.
2.
Undo the fastening screws in the hob.
3.
Carefully lift the hob upwards and remove it.
First lift up the hob slightly, then remove the con-
nection cable before removing the hob com-
pletely.
Replacing the main control nozzles on the wok
burner
1.
Remove the securing clips from the burner pipes.

2.
Pull out the burner pipes.
3.
Unscrew the fastening screw on the air regulating
sleeve.
4.
Remove the nozzle retaining head.
5.
Pull off the nozzle w2 and O-ring for the inner
burner ring by hand.
6.
Unscrew the nozzle for the outer burner ring w1
(WAF 10).

7.
Check that the O-ring is seated correctly in the
new main control nozzle for the inner burner ring.
8.
Fit the nozzle w2 onto the burner pipe.
