Are Generated When 100Mb/Full With
Forced Speed/Duplex Is Set in
e1000g.conf
(CR

As a result of research, it turned out that this problem had never happened on the
condition which we informed before.
It is the case that this problem happens when e1000g sets Auto-negotiation:off and
its link partner sets Auto-negotiation:on, which is specified in IEEE802.3.
Therefore the same problem can be seen on the other drivers than e1000g when it
does the same setting.
The following setting is also available on e1000g driver.
■
Auto-negotiation : off
■
speed : 100Mbps
■
Duplex : Full
But we suggest Auto-negotiation be set to "on" because this problem frequently
occurs when users who set Auto-negotiation:off to e1000g forget to set Auto-
negotiation:off to link partner.
