The value of power consumption shown by
/SYS/VPS (/SYS/VPS value) may exceed the
threshold value. At this time, an event log as
shown below will be collected.
Event log example:
4368 Mon Jun 29 23:53:39 2009 IPMI
Log major
ID = e1f : 06/29/2009 :
23:53:39 : Power Unit : /SYS/VPS : Upper
Critical going high : reading 1480.90 >
threshold 1215.40 Watts
And when the power consumption value
(/SYS/VPS value) has come back to under the
threshold, it may display an abnormal value.
Abnormal value display example:
4369 Mon Jun 29 23:54:28 2009 IPMI
Log minor
ID = e20 : 06/29/2009 :
23:54:28 : Power Unit : /SYS/VPS : Upper
Critical going low : reading 0 <
threshold 1215.40 Watts
None.
The value of power consumption shown by
/SYS/VPS is given as an indication.
For the right value of power consumption, see
/SP/powermgmt/actual_power.
Therefore, the collected event log can be safely
ignored.
