• Before installing/removing a battery backup unit, turn off the server, all
peripheral devices, and any other connected devices. Also unplug all power
cables from the outlet. Failure to do so can cause electric shock.
• Devices inside the server remain hot after shutdown. Wait for approximately
10 minutes after shutdown before installing or removing internal options.
• The exposed parts of circuit boards and soldered parts can be damaged by
static electricity.
Before handling them, first touch a metal part of the server to discharge static
electricity.
• Do not touch the circuitry on boards and soldered parts. Hold the metallic
areas or the edge of the circuit boards.
