Care, maintenance and disposal
General
Under normal operating conditions, the device requires only a minimum of care and main-
tenance. However, it is essential to observe certain points to ensure that the device gives
reliable service for many years.
Safety
WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal.
Before opening the device

Turn the mains switch to the "O" position
►
Unplug the machine from the mains
►
Prevent it from being switched on again
►
Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrically charged
components (e.g. capacitors) have discharged
WARNING!
Work that is carried out incorrectly can cause serious injury and damage.
The following activities must only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel. All in-
structions in the section headed "Safety rules" must be observed.
Every start-up

Check the mains plug, mains cable and system component cables for damage

Check that the device has an all-round clearance of 0.5 m (1 ft. 7.69 in.) to ensure that
cooling air can flow and escape unhindered
NOTE!
Air inlets and outlets must never be covered, not even partially.
Every 6 months

Open the device and clean the inside of the device with dry reduced compressed air
NOTE!
Risk of damage to electronic parts.
Do not bring the air nozzle too close to electronic components.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with the applicable national and local regulations.
