Creating a reference program and setting the posi-
tion of the wire electrode in relation to the focus
point of the laser
Safety
General
A low-power pilot laser is required for this work.
The position of the wire electrode in relation to the focal spot of the laser must be checked:
-
Each time the laser welding head is replaced
-
Each time the laser optics system is replaced
-
Each time the welding torch is changed
Checking the po-
sition of the wire
electrode in rela-
tion to the focal
spot of the laser
Switch off the MIG/MAG power source
Replace the components
Switch on the MIG/MAG power source
Move the robot to the reference point
on the gauge (1):
the focal spot of the laser is within the
crosshairs on the gauge
Thread the wire electrodes up to the
gauge
Check the position of the wire electro-
de in relation to the focal spot of the la-
ser:
the position of the wire electrode must
correspond to the documented values
for the scale on the gauge.
If necessary, correct the position of the
wire electrode in relation to the focal
spot of the laser using the x and y ad-
justing devices
WARNING!
Work that is carried out incorrectly can cause serious injury and dam-
age. Set up work must only be performed by trained and qualified personnel. Ob-
serve the safety regulations in the operating instructions, paying particular
attention to the section entitled "Safety inspection".
