2.6 Protective equipment
Protective equipment is to be used as intended and may
not be disabled or removed.
All protective equipment is to be regularly checked for
integrity and proper functioning.
The Laboratory - jaw crusher has a comprehensive safety system:

The funnel is protected against being reached into by a zig-zag
shaped material guide.

A safety switch monitors the closing of the front cover during oper-
ation and prevents the Laboratory - jaw crusher from starting up
when the cover is open.

The switch fulfils the directives concerning personal protective
equipment.

The Laboratory - jaw crusher will not start when the front
cover is open.

The Laboratory - jaw crusher stops when the front cover is
opened.

2.8 Electrical safety
2.8.1 General information

The main switch disconnects the device from the mains on all poles.
n
If the Laboratory - jaw crusher is not operated for a longer period of
time (e.g. overnight), disconnect the device from the mains by
pulling the mains plug.
