Using the FiberInspector Option
The OFTM-5352 FiberInspector
™
Video Probe connects to an
OptiFiber fiber tester to let you inspect the ends of fiber
optic connectors. The probe's 250X and 400X
magnifications reveal dirt, scratches, and other defects that
can cause poor performance or failures in fiber optic
networks.
The 250X magnification shows dirt and other defects on the
fiber endface and surrounding ferrule. The 400X
magnification allows a more detailed inspection of the
cladding and core.
Tip: The FiberInspector function uses a lot of battery power.
To maximize battery life, plug in the ac adapter when
using this function for more than a few minutes.
