3. Brush and clean all exposed surfaces of the
Gear Cartridge with detergent water and
Small Brush, then rinse thoroughly. (See
Figure 36.)

4. Brush and clean all exposed surfaces of the
Injector Head with detergent water and
Small Brush. Use the Detail Brush to
ensure that the syrup orifices are clear of
any residual syrup. (See Figure 37.)

5. Brush and clean all exposed surfaces and
openings of the Gear Box with detergent
water and rinse thoroughly. Use the Large
Brush on the large opening, and the Small
Brush on the smaller openings. If
necessary, the Mounting Bracket may be
removed and cleaned according to
instructions in the SCHEDULED
MAINTENANCE section. (See Figure 38.)

6. Place the Gear Box, Mounting Bracket,
Gear Cartridge, and Injector Head in McD
Sanitizer (HCS) and soak for at least 5
minutes. (See Figure 39.)

7. Remove each part from the sanitizer
solution. Place the items in the drain tray to
air dry. (See Figure 40.)

8. Spray the 9-Tube Assembly Manifold
opening with McD Sanitizer (HCS) , and
allow it to sanitize for at least 5 minutes.
