APPENDIX 2 ULC Operation
1.0 GENERAL
The SHP control system requires additional operating characteristics in order to be compliant with
ULC527. In order to meet this criteria, additional control panel configurations are available

The following part numbers shall be used to order the ULC version of the SHP control system.

3.0 OPERATIONAL CHANGES
Three changes to the functionality of the system were incorporated in the Canadian version. The
changes are as follows:
3.1 SILENCE INHIBIT
The silence inhibit feature is controlled by SW3, Position S9. With position S9 on, audible outputs cannot
be silenced during the first minute of activation. With S9 off, audible outputs can be silenced at any time.
3.2 SUPERVISORY OPERATION
All supervisory conditions will latch until the control panel is reset.
3.3 ALARM AUDIBLE OUTPUT
Audible output #1 remains activated when the control panel enters the Predischarge state.
