7 BOTTOM BRACKET
7.1 Installing the BOTTOM BRACKET

Use only brand-new screws with screw lock for the assembly of the BOTTOM BRACKET. These
are supplied with every BOTTOM BRACKET. If you need more screws, you can purchase them in
our online shop.

When installing the BOTTOM BRACKET, take care not to crush or kink any cables.
►
Do not use force when inserting the BOTTOM BRACKET, e.g. by driving the BOTTOM BRACKET into
the holder with a hammer or similar.

After any work on the bottom bracket, the torque sensor must be calibrated via the FAZUA
Toolbox software! The advanced version of the FAZUA Toolbox software is required for calibra-
tion. If calibration is not carried out, optimal support of the drive system cannot be guaranteed!

Before installing a new BOTTOM BRACKET after a service case, it is absolutely necessary to
transfer all configuration data of the defective BOTTOM BRACKET to the new component. To do
so, use the "Star/End of Service" function in the dealer service menu.
Step 1: Inserting the BOTTOM BRACKET

Clean the threads (13) and make sure there is no
residue of lubricant or dirt in the threads.

Insert the BOTTOM BRACKET by hand into its seat
on the frame.
The BOTTOM BRACKET must be easy to insert and
must be seated in the receptacle without tension.
When inserting, be careful not to crush or bend
any cables.

Step 2: Fasten the BOTTOM BRACKET

Mount the BOTTOM BRACKET using the four gear
screws (RIDE 50 screw BB mount)

Using the T30 Torx screwdriver, first tighten the
two screws on the drive side and then the two
screws on the other side.
The screws supplied by FAZUA are
provided with screw lock, which must
dry for at least 6 hours.
