Release the four latches (1) that hold the air filter
cover (2) to the housing.
Remove the cover and lay it aside.

Using handle on the filter element (3), pull the pri -
mary filter element back out of the housing.
Clean the inside of the housing to remove dirt or
contamination.
Install the replacement element into the housing.
Position the cover on the housing and set the four
latches (1).
Replace Secondary Air Filter Ele-
ment
The primary filter element is replaced every 250
service hours. The secondary filter element is re -
placed every 500 service hours. This means that
every second time that the primary filter element is
replaced, the secondary filter element will also be
replaced.
Never operate the machine without an air cleaner
with all elements in place. Intake air must be filtered
to prevent dirt and debris from entering the engine
and causing serious and expensive damage.
Do not attempt to clean a used element in any way.
Always discard the old element and install a new
element.
Running the machine with an air cleaner that needs
replacement does not allow the engine to get the
proper amount of air to burn the fuel properly, which
reduces engine horsepower and fuel efficiency.
The air filter is accessed through the right side door.
Perform the Lockout and Tagout procedure (see
Emergency Procedures).
Open the door on the right side of the paver.
Clean the inside of the housing to remove dirt or
contamination.
