Configuring a VPN Tunnel Between Two Access Points
The access point can connect to a non-AP device supporting IPSec, such as a Cisco VPN device—labeled
as “Device #2”.
For this usage scenario, the following components are required:

2 access points (either an Altitude 3510 or Altitude 3550 model)
●
1 PC on each side of the access point’s LAN.
To configure a VPN tunnel between two access points:

Ensure the WAN ports are connected via the internet.

On access point #1, select
WAN

VPN
from the main menu tree.

Click
Add
to add the tunnel to the list.

Enter a tunnel name (tunnel names do not need to match).

Enter the WAN port IP address of AP #1 for the
Local WAN IP
.

Within the
Remote Subnet
and
Remote Subnet Mask
fields, enter the LAN IP subnet and mask of AP #2
/Device #2.

Enter the WAN port IP address of AP #2/ Device #2 for a
Remote Gateway
.

Apply
to save the changes.
