Cleaning and maintenance
As the user, you must perform the maintenance work described in this chapter.
Service work which is described in the maintenance plan (see chapter 9.2) or
not explained in the manual is only to be performed by authorised service
technicians.
Deviations from the maintenance plan can affect test results.
9.1 Maintenance
schedule
The maintenance described below must be performed as often as necessary
by the user, at least in the intervals indicated.
9.1.1 Daily
maintenance
work
The maintenance work to be performed daily is described in chapter 7.2.
9.1.2 Weekly
maintenance
work
In addition to daily maintenance, the following work must be performed:
o
Empty, disinfect (e.g. with Mikrozid) and flush the
waste container.
o
Empty
the
waste buffer container
and clean it thoroughly with a
bottle brush and detergent. Then rinse well with distilled water.
o
Disinfect
all
accessible
surfaces
of the instrument (e.g. with Mikrozid)
and clean with a moist cloth and a mild detergent.
o
Clean
the
needle tips
with a pilled cloth and 70% alcohol.
The pipetting needles must be handled with care so as not to bend them.
Note: There is a potential danger of infection or injury by needle tips.
Only use disinfectants which do not contain alcohol for the surface
disinfection of the instrument.
