7.2.2 Decontamination
of the pipetting needles
The Sprinter XL requires an alcoholic solution (ethanol 70%) to decontaminate
the pipetting needle. For decontamination place the alcoholic solution into the
position described in the
Description
window. This is the position of the sample
buffer 6. The liquid is flushed in using the service menu.
To reach the service menu, press the
Service
button. The service
menu will offer you a list with different service points of the Sprinter
XL.

Select the
Maintenance – Tips Decontamination
menu item under
Service operations
and press
Start
. In the
Description
field, you will
get instructions which you must follow to service the system.

To start the service step, press the
Continue
button. At the end of the
process, remove the decontamination solution from the rack.
