Intel Smart Connect & Intel Rapid Start Technology
Intel® Smart Connect Technology
wakes the computer from
Sleep
mode in order
to update application information.
Intel(R) Rapid Start Technology
can resume
power from
Hibernation
within 5 to 6 seconds and can remember your computer's
previous state with zero power.
Intel(R) Rapid Start Technology
sends the com-
puter into
Hibernate
mode and skips the
Sleep
mode. Therefore if Rapid Start is en-
abled, Smart Connect will be unable to wake the system as Sleep mode has been
bypassed. In order to configure your system to run Smart Connect you will either
need to disable or delay the system from running Rapid Start.
Disabling or Delaying Rapid Start Technology
1.
Run
Intel(R) Rapid Start Technology Manager
from the
Start
menu or double-
click the icon
in the notification area of the taskbar.
