Configuring SNMP v1 & v2 Community Groups 

To navigate to the 

SNMP v1/v2 

page: 

1.  Click on the 

+

 next to 

SNMP

. 

2. Click on 

SNMP v1/v2

To configure the SNMP v1 & v2 community groups (see 

Figure 79

): 

1.  Enter the SNMP community name into the text entry box next to 

Get Community 

Name

. This will allow the NMS to poll status information from the switch (read only). 

2.  Enter the SNMP community name, into the text entry box next to 

Set Community 

Name

. This will allow a NMS to change the status of a data item in the switch. 

3.  Click on the 

Update Setting

 button after you have finished the configuration.
