The red light always shines inside the printer. This is normal.

Product Stops Printing Unexpectedly
If your product stops printing unexpectedly, try these solutions:
• Make sure the power cable is securely connected.
• Check the messages on the control panel. If an error has occurred, follow the instructions on the
screen to clear the error.
• If an error occurs during printing, the print queue enters
Pause
status and stops printing. Do one of the
following to check the status of the print queue:
• In Windows, double-click the printer icon in the
Devices and Printers
,
Printers
, or
Printers and
Faxes
folder; if printing is paused, open the
Printer
menu and clear the
Pause
check box.
• On a Mac, select
System Preferences
>
Printers & Scanners
or
Print & Fax
>
Open Print
Queue
> from the Apple menu. Double-click the icon for any printer that is

and click
Resume Printer

Forgot the Administrator Password
The preset value for the administrator password is the product serial number. Check the label on the
back of the product to locate the serial number. We recommend that you change the preset password as
soon as possible to prevent unauthorized access.
If you forgot the administrator password you created during network setup, contact Epson for support.

If you have problems while installing your product software, try these solutions:
• Make sure your product is turned on and any necessary cables are securely connected at both ends.
Also make sure your system meets the requirements for your operating system. If you still have
problems installing software, contact your system administrator.
