Optimizing the Media Settings (Automatic Adjustment)
You can perform an automatic feed adjustment from the product control panel. Make sure the length of
the loaded media is at least 22 inches (558 mm) and the width is 15 inches (388 mm) or wider.
Note:
You may not be able to perform automatic adjustment depending on the media you are using. If an
error occurs, or if you notice banding or graininess in the print results even after automatic adjustment,
perform
Paper Feed Adjust
and
Ruled Line Alignment
from the Print Adjustments menu.
1.
From the home screen, select
Paper Setting
> paper source >
Print Adjustments
>
Automatic
Adjustment
.
2.
Select
Standard
>
Auto Adjustment
>
Start
.
An adjustment pattern is printed. View the results and determine if a manual adjustment is
necessary.

panel if you can still see banding after performing an automatic feed adjustment. Perform

enter the measurements to perform adjustments.

mm) or wider. When adjusting using commercially available paper, make sure you register the custom
paper in advance.
1.
Select a paper type that matches the paper in the printer.
2.
Select
>
Paper Setting
>
Print Adjustments
>
Paper Feed Adjust
from the control panel.
3.
Select the paper feed adjustment that best suits your needs and intended use.
4.
If you select manual adjustment, follow the on-screen instructions to make adjustments.
