• Do not disassemble the ink cartridges or maintenance boxes.
• If ink gets on your skin, wash it off with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, flush them immediately
with water. Failure to observe this precaution could result in bloodshot eyes or mild inflammation. If
problems persist, consult a physician. If ink enters your mouth, consult a physician immediately.
• Store ink cartridges at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, and use them before the expiration
date printed on the packaging.
• Allow ink cartridges that have been stored at low temperatures for an extended period of time to return
to room temperature over a period of four hours.
• To ensure print quality, use ink cartridges within one year of installing them.
• The green IC chip on each ink cartridge retains a variety of cartridge-related information, such as the
ink cartridge status, so that the cartridge may be removed and reinserted freely. Do not touch the
green IC chip on the ink cartridges or maintenance boxes. This may prevent normal operation and
printing.
• Do not remove the transparent seal from the ink supply port. This may cause the cartridge to become
unusable.
• Install ink cartridges in all the ink cartridge slots. You cannot print if any of the slots are empty.
• Install a new ink cartridge immediately after removing an expended one. Leaving cartridges
uninstalled can dry out the print head and may prevent the product from printing.
• If you remove an ink cartridge for later use, protect the ink supply area from dirt and dust and store it in
the same environment as the product. Note that there is a valve in the ink supply port, making covers
or plugs unnecessary, but care is needed to prevent the ink from staining items that the cartridge
touches. Do not touch the ink cartridge ink supply port or surrounding area.
• Dried ink on the supply port may cause ink leaks when the cartridge is reinserted and used. Wipe off
any excess ink before reinserting.
• Do not dismantle or alter an ink cartridge or maintenance box. This could damage the print head and
may prevent the product from printing properly.
• Do not drop ink cartridges or subject them to impacts, otherwise ink may leak.
• Do not put your hands inside the product or touch any cartridges during printing.
• Do not insert or remove replacement cartridges or maintenance boxes during printing.
• To maintain the quality of the print head, this product stops printing before ink cartridges are
completely expended.
• Do not reuse maintenance boxes that have been removed from the printer and exposed to the air for a
long period of time. The box will not absorb any more ink.
