for your own character, change the DATA num-
bers in line 200 by substituting the numbers generated by program
1.
Running the program
When you run this second program, it re-defines the < character.
After you run the program, if you press < your
FX-286
will print
(although your screen will continue to show the character <).
Because the program puts this new definition in your printer’s Ran-
dom Access Memory (RAM), it will print the new character unless it is
turned off or receives the reset code.
If you have designed a character and want to use it with your word
processing program, for example, just run program 2 before you start
using your word processing program.
If you wish, you can define more than one character; see the section
on user-defined characters in Appendix C for details.
