Chapter 2 Operation of Diagnostic

Cover Open Sensor
(DI-7)
1)
Power on the printer, and enter the Diag Mode.
2)
Execute DI-7.
3)
Open or close the Front Cover to check whether the sensor
functions properly.
4)
Check that the number in the bottom line of the display
increases by one every time the Front Cover is opened or
closed.
5)
Press the "STOP" key to stop the test.
6)
Close the Front Cover.
Tray2 No Paper Sensor
(DI-9)
1)
Power on the printer, and enter the Diag Mode.
2)
Remove DI-9.
3)
Execute the Tray2 No Paper.
4)
Check whether the sensor functions properly by removing and
replacing the Tray2.
5)
Confirm that the number in the lower section of the display
increases each time the Tray2 is removed and replaced.
6)
Press the "STOP" key to stop the test.
